TANGO ORCHESTRA SESSIONS IN BELGIUM!

It’s a special experience: watching a tango orchestra in action and hearing how a group of advanced and professional musicians transform an intensive rehearsal day into a captivating performance for dancers and listeners. 

Since November 2023, monthly tango orchestra sessions have been held in Antwerp, bringing together advanced and professional musicians from Belgium and the Netherlands. Led by Kay Sleking, the orchestra performs a varied repertoire, ranging from traditional tango to contemporary compositions, featuring bandoneons, violins, cello, guitar, flute, piano, and double bass.

Kay Sleking, with over 20 years of experience as a conductor, has a remarkable talent for inspiring musicians to embrace an infectious and authentic tango swing. Having performed for years with smaller ensembles and large orchestras at milongas in Belgium, he has now specialized in leading orchestra sessions. He successfully organises weekly, monthly, and multi-day sessions in the Netherlands, Belgium, and France.

Starting in 2025, Kay will expand his activities with a Neo Tango course in the Netherlands and an inspiring workshop week in France, exploring the boundaries of tango combined with modern styles.
